It’s been almost 2 months since Apple released Mac OS X v10.6, a.k.a. “Snow Leopard”. I know, it’s a funny name, but very apropos. You see, every version release of OS X (operating system 10) has been code-named after a big cat: Cheetah (10.0), Puma 10.1), Jaguar (10.2), Panther (10.3), Tiger (10.4), Leopard (10.5), & Snow Leopard (10.6). Each version also carried with it major new features. The latest release, though, was focused solely on “improving performance, efficiency and reducing its overall memory footprint compared to its predecessor…”
There were some new features though. This is a great article about Apple’s bitch-slap to Microsoft with Snow Leopard.
